When honest workmanship and attention to detail are carefully practiced, good things can certainly happen.
This simple notion is the reason I design and build furniture. Wood to me is the perfect medium. It has incomparable depth, figure and character. The possibilities of design are near endless. The only limiting factor must be a healthy respect for the medium. We must use this resource in a sustainable manner. I build with traditional joinery that is time proven and use only the finest materials, paying due respect to the inherent characteristics of the wood. My finishes are both environmentally friendly and infinitely repairable. Furniture is meant to be used, therefore it must age well. It is my aim to design and build furniture that quietly harmonizes with your environment, all the while paying respect to ours as a whole for generations to come.

My experiences range for residential cabinetwork to fine furnishings. My work is most notably defined by clean, refined lines and subtle curves. I began my woodworking with intensive courses in design and workmanship and later served a number of apprenticeships through out the east coast. I consider myself to be very fortunate for having worked in the company of some very talented craftsmen. These teachings manifest themselves throughout my work.

It is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to build relationships with those who choose to have me design and build for them. These interactions are fuel for the fire. A cooperative environment is paramount to a successful and lasting piece of woodwork. If you would like to speak with me further concerning a project you may have in mind, please don't hesitate to call me.
